As well, there is car-parking most of the length of the Salthill and Seapoint Promenades.
Parking is Salthill can be difficult during the summer months, and when there is a match at Pearse Stadium (ref the Upper Salthill neighbourhood map). On these days, it may be best to use a carpark in the city area and walk to bus to Salthill.

Public transport and parking
Walking:
Most of the sites on this map are 5-15 minutes walk from Eyre Square.Buses:
Bus routes 402 - Seacrest, 404 - Newcastle and 405 - Rahoon leave from Eyre Square (sometimes after coming from the east side of the city). Travel past the Franciscan Church before turning left and going over the river. The first bus stop after Eyre Square is outside the church, and this is the stop to use for the courthouse, threatre and national schools.Bus route 407 leaves from Eyre Square, and goes past the Franciscan Church (bus stop outside), before turning right and heading through the north of Woodquay and on to Terryland. It also stops outside the church, and the next stop is opposite Woodquay Court.
Car Parking:
There is an on-street car-park in the middle of Woodquay. Other car-parks close to the area include the Cathedral, Newtonsmyth, Black Box and Corrib Court Shopping centre - see the City Car Parking map for details.See also

The 401-Parkmore bus route goes past but not into the estate: while the 405- Ballybane bus goes into Ballybrit Industrial Estate. See the Ballybrit neighbourhood map for route details and bus-stops.- Vehicle and pedestrian entrance into all buildings in this estate is from the main road into Ballybrit Industrial Estate.
- Vehicles can exit either through the main estate road, or onto the dual carriageway

Most places in the town are within 10-15 minutes walk of the bus-stops. However at the east end of town the footpath only extends to the Cathercourt complex, so it is not really safe to walk to the IDA Business Park or East Point Business Centre.
There is no taxi-office, but there are several taxi companies based in the town.

Ballybrit Industrial Estate "factory run" bus schedule and details
This page has information about a bus service which ran of working days between from Galway city right and the Ballybrit Industrial Estate (later including Ballybrit Business Park and City East Business Park).
It was initially set up for staff at the Digital / Compaq / Hewlett Packard / HP factory, and was also used by people working at Boston Scientific, APC/Schneider, Supermacs, RSA, and other business in the area. It was commonly known as "the Digital bus" and later "the HP bus". In 2007 there were there were three different buses each morning.
This bus service was eventually cancelled in mid 2016 after the standard city services started going into the industrial estate. No public announcement was made about the change. Use one of the alternate services listed near the bottom of this page.
