This route travels from Eyre Square, past Woodquay, the Cathedral, the university (NUI-Galway), the main and entrance to University Hospital, along St Mary's Rd, through Lower and Upper Salthill, past Knocknacarra shopping centre (Tesco), and on to Barna.

Operating from Monday 2 July 2012, it replaces Route 35 - Barna.
