Public Transport Directions:
Mon-Sat before 7pm:
Catch the 5W - Rahoon bus (leaves from Eyre Square, may have come in from Ballybane, travels via Eglington St, the cathedral, Newcastle Rd).
This goes past the Cathedral and university, up Newcastle Rd and turns LEFT into Seamus Quirke Rd. Then it goes through a roundabout.
On Sundays, and after 7pm on other days
Catch the 4wx5W - Newcastle/Rahoon bus (leaves from Eyre Square, may have come in from Ballybane, travels via Eglington St, the cathedral, Newcastle Rd).
Instead of turning left into Seamus Quirke Rd, this route continues up Newcastle Rd to the Westwood hotel, waits at the terminus there, and then goes down Thomas Hynes Rd, where it turns right at the roundabout, and then covers the rest of the 5w - Rahoon route.
For Rahoon Cemetery, stay on the bus while it goes past the shopping centres (left and right) and through the next traffic lights. Get off after that, and the cemetery is along the main road on the right.
Otherwise, get off the bus at the first or second stop after the roundabout, depending on where you are going.
