There is a bus-stop immediately after the bus makes a sharp right-hand turn into Taylors Hill Rd: ask the driver if you don't know where this is: there are no good landmarks here. Get off at the bus stop after this.

Catch the 1s - Salthill bus (bus details). Get off at the church in Salthill. Walk towards the sea, and turn left - Atlantaquaria is just around the corner (less than 5 minutes walk).

Catch the 9 - Parkmore, 2 - Lisbeg Lawn, 4e - Merlin Park or 5E - Ballybane bus (bus details). After the bus has done past "DPL" (bright yellow building on the left), look out for a SPAR on the right hand side. Get off at the first stop after this (it's very close). The hospital is across the road.

Corrib Village
This student accommodation village is in the campus of NUIG. During the summer, there is a shuttle-bus between Eyre Square and the village: see here for details.
Apart from that, catch the 4w - Newcastle bus (bus details). Either get off at the university and walk through the grounds into the village, or stay on the bus to the top of Newcastle Rd, and the village main entrance is on your right.

To get from here to GMIT:
For the Dublin Rd campus, go down to the roundabout, around the corner on the right, and catch the 9 - Parkmore bus on its way back in to town. After the bus passes Merlin Park hospital (on the right) it goes through a roundabout: get off at the stop just after the roundabout, and GMIT is directly across the road.
For the Cluain Mhuire campus: catch the 3 - Ballybrit bus on its way back in to town. Get off at the second stop after the CrownLiving site and Eircom building (which are on the right, a little after the bus has gone past SuperValu).

Catch the 9 - Parkmore bus (bus details). Get off at the stop after Merlin Park Hosptial (which is a green area on the left, well signposted). The Galway Irish Crystal is across the road: it is a very busy road, so always cross at the lights, no matter how light the traffic may appear.

Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology - GMIT (Dublin Road)
This is between 30-45 minutes walk from the city centre. Catch the 4E Merlin Park, 9 Parkmore or 9A Galway Clinic bus (bus details). Get off at the first stop after the bus passes Dawn Dairies (blue milk tanks on the right).
If you are coming to Galway from the east or south, most regional and national buses stop outside Dawn Dairies, which is just across the road from GMIT Dublin Rd. Some private buses from the north/west also continue through the city to GMIT in the morning.

Leisureland
Catch the 1S - Salthill or 1k - Salthill/Knocknacarra bus (details). Get off at the first stop after it reaches the sea and turns right. Cross the road and walk past the park: Leisureland is just after that.
OR
Catch the 1d - Salthill via Devon Park bus (details). After the bus comes down a hill, it turns LEFT and the sea is on your right. After a few minutes, the Galway Bay Hotel is on your left: get off at the next stop, Leisureland is beside the park.
NB the 1d route takes a little longer, perhaps 5-10 minutes.

Catch the 2w - Seacrest or 33 - Knocknacarra or 34 - Cappagh Rd bus (). Get off at the bottom of Ballymoneen Rd (2w) or Cappagh Rd (33 or 34). Continue walking along the Barna Rd.
Rusheen Bay is on the left: there are various entrances marked for the riding school, the picnic area etc.
Barna woods is a park area on the right hand side of the road, a little after the petrol station on the left.After that, the first turn-off to the left leads down to Silverstrand beach. It's a narrow road with no footpath: walk on the right hand side of the road so that drivers can see you.
Tobar Eanna is in a small clearing on the left side of the road down the beach: the entrance is in the middle of a hedge and is not marked.
The walk from the bus-stop to Silverstrand beach takes 15-30 minutes, depending on your speed.
Slieve Aughty Centre
This is approx 10mi / 15km outside Loughrea. Take a regional/national bus from Galway to Loughrea, and catch a local taxi from there. (Directions form Loughrea on this page.
