Where to buy all-days tickets for Galway City bus services

Bus Éireann offer a day-saver ticket for their Galway city services.

The ticket can be purchased from the driver of the first bus in you catch in the day:
  • If you pay with cash, then a "day" is one calendar day, not 24 hours.
  • If you pay with a Leap Card, then the ticket is valid for 24 hours.

It is not possible to buy a ticket that includes both Bus Éireann and City Direct services.

Bus Éireann's regional ticketing also offer some options that include access to city services. These are called  multi-day tickets or tourist travel passes. Tickets can be purchased on-line, or in person at selected bus-stations, including Galway Travel Centre in Ceannt Station.  See their website for details.

Although these tickets are targeted at tourists, they may be useful for other people who need to make several longer journeys over a period.
